What Is a Coming?
A Coming is an age-marker—an event so consequential it becomes a reference point for calendars, prophecies, and recorded memory. The Comings are not always “good” or “evil.” They are structural: they change what the world can become next.
If Ages are the long arcs, the Comings are the hinges—the moments the world realizes it has crossed a threshold.
Why the Comings Matter
- They rename time: entire chronologies pivot around them. (See The Grand Timeline.)
- They distort record: competing factions rewrite what the Coming “meant.”
- They awaken sleeping forces: thresholds thin, deep harmonics shift, and hidden powers stir.
- They test unity: how realms respond determines whether the next Age narrows—or widens.
